Check Out the Progress at the Fair

Construction of a new stairway between the Foundation office and MidAmerican Energy Visitor's Center continues. The stairway adds a new access point to Expo Hill.

When you visit the Iowa State Fair this year, we invite you to check out the renovations made possible by our generous donors.

• The second phase of Expo Hill's renovation will be complete and features a new solar-powered stage structure, stairway, and more solar lights and benches, making the top of the hill a destination point once again.
• The Cultural Center is undergoing work to put in two elevators, making this building fully accessible for the first time.
• The lot west of the 4-H Building has been paved and the electrical improvements in the sheep barn are complete.

These are just a few of the projects that gifts to the Blue Ribbon Foundation have helped support.

Maintaining these improvements and continuing our restoration efforts are the driving forces behind Our Fair's Future, the Foundation's new endowment fund. We want to ensure our historic Iowa State Fairgrounds have a solid foundation from which to host fairs for generations to come. A gift from you to our endowment fund can help continue this grand summer tradition.
